A quarterback named Rudolph leading his team to a big win on Christmas weekend? Couldn’t have written this one up any better.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were without their injured starting quarterback Kenny Pickett yesterday for their matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

And just like Santa, the Steelers turned to a Rudolph to help guide them: Third-string quarterback Mason Rudolph.

Rudolph hadn’t started a game since 2021, but the 28-year old quarterback put on a masterful performance as he led the Steelers to a 34-11 win over their division rival.

And afterwards, Acrisure Stadium celebrated in the most appropriate way possible: By serenading Mason Rudolph with a sing-along of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

The quarterback also impressed fans in his postgame interview, giving all glory to God for the opportunity to lead his team to victory:

“I want to say I’m so thankful to my creator, Jesus Christ, for giving me the opportunity to play this game, carrying me through the dark times, and getting me back here.”

Seems like it’s going to be quite the Merry Christmas in Pittsburgh this year. And who better to lead them than Rudolph.
