Taylor Swift Says Travis Kelce Calling Her Out On His Podcast Was “Metal As Hell”

Taylor Swift finally talks about her relationship with Travis Kelce.

While the  New Heights co-host has spoken quite a bit about his relationship with Swift since she first appeared at a Chiefs game, and after what he thought was a failed attempt to shoot his shot during The Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift has yet to address her relationship publicly.

Her Easter eggs of changing the words of “Karma” to note she and Kelce were together; this is the first time she is sitting down to chat about her whirlwind of a romance.

She was recently named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year, and she is spilling all the tea about the timeline of their relationship and what caught her eye about Kelce.

So let’s start from the beginning… the concern that Travis attended. Over the summer, Travis Kelce was eager to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it after the show. When he was told that Taylor wouldn’t meet fans after her concert, he “was a little butthurt” and talked about what his grand plan was to do on his podcast with his brother Jason Kelce.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.”

We knew that Taylor had reached out to Travis directly after getting word of this, but little did fans know that they had been hanging out much longer than the public eye thought.

“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

She goes on to say that at that point of the game appearance, she and Kelce had established their relationship enough that they felt there was nothing to hide from the public anymore.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

While they two are very much so in the public eye, Kelce also recently moved to a more private residence for Swift. While most thought this was a crazy thing to do based on their public relationship timeline, given their person, maybe it’s not as wild as it seemed.

Swift also noted that she has loved immersing herself in the football culture and supporting Travis at games.

“Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

And we all know the NFL has been capitalizing on her attendance to games, but Swift notes that she is unaware of how cameras can spot her in the suites and how many times she is shown during games.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.

I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

Just like said in the last sentence, viewers upset about her screen time need to take it up with the NFL and not Swift.Swift is  very much in an era of life where she calls the shots and revealing things on her own time. Brownie points to Travis for respecting that and letting her give the full story.

I also love that Swift brought her cat to the shoot for the magazine cover.
