The King and Queen of Tennessee?

The Tennessee Volunteers are facing their biggest test of the season today as they take on the defending national champions, the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs.

But if Vol nation needed a little extra boost for the SEC clash today, they got it from two of the biggest names in Tennessee.

Dolly Parton announced last weekend that she would be attending the highly-anticipated matchup at Neyland Stadium.

And although Georgia coach Kirby Smart said it didn’t add to the pressure of the game, it sure did help Tennessee fans get hyped up when not only Dolly strolled onto the field to sing their beloved anthem “Rocky Top” at the end of the first quarter – but she was also escorted by none other than legendary Tennessee quarterback and Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning.

Obviously the crowd was loving it – especially with Tennessee only down by 3 to the Bulldogs at that point.

And as play resumed, Dolly spoke about the performance and being at the game:

“It was great, only I couldn’t hear because my sound went out and the stadium’s so loud! I couldn’t even hear it to sing ‘Rocky Top.’ But I was so honored to be here, and I love Peyton and I love the crowd, so it’s just good to be home always.”

Dolly also couldn’t help but giving an impromptu performance of “Rocky Top” during the interview.

What a treasure – even if things aren’t looking great for her Volunteers right now.
