Kevin Costner is currently going through a shocking and brutal divorce with his wife of 19 years, Christine Baumgartner.
Of course, whenever a massive celebrity gets divorced, the internet crashes trying to figure out who their next flame is, which ultimately results in a number of wild rumors.
With that being said, it appears that the latest Costner dating rumor involves the Sweet Home Alabama star herself, Reese Witherspoon.
Earlier this week, the rumors began to quickly swirl that the 68-year-old Costner, and 47-year-old Witherspoon are possibly romantically involved.
It all truly started when Naughty but Nice podcast host Rob Shuter tweeted out:
“POLL OF THE DAY: Kevin Costner is rumored to be romancing Reese Witherspoon. Do you love this new couple?”
Witherspoon is also fresh off a divorce this year, from her husband of 12 years Jim Troth.
However, according to Page Six, Witherspoon’s rep has quickly shut down these rumors:
“This story is completely fabricated and not true.”
Of course, Costner has been a very busy guy himself, as he’s currently still in the midst of his divorce from Baumgartner, and is focusing on his upcoming western series, Horizon.
We did learn, however, that he like won’t be appearing on the second half of Yellowstone, meaning that season five – and the series – will end without John Dutton.
But still, it goes without saying, it might be awhile before Costner gets back in the dating game – and it doesn’t sound like there’s any truth to the latest rumors.
