Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, country fans of all ages, let me introduce you to your new favorite game.

Country music has been red hot this summer, exploding beyond the reach of the music scene and creating a huge demand for both the sound and culture that has long lived in the souls of countless fans throughout the country.

This demand has led to the creation of something major that’s been stirring under the surface for some time which is bound to bump country music even further into the spotlight.

On September 21st, a new app called Country Star will be launching which allows you to experience your favorite songs and artists in a more in depth way than ever before.

You may be thinking, “Okay, that sounds cool and all, but what exactly is it?”

I’m glad you asked.

With Country Star, you get to be the rockstar on stage, belting out the high notes and shredding twangy guitar solos with your finger tips. The crowd goes wild as you rack up streaks, compete with friends, and unlock modern hits and all-time classics.

The catalog isn’t just some mix of the same overplayed songs either, as up and coming fan favorites like 49 Winchester, Ernest, and Charles Wesley Godwin will be featured alongside modern superstars like Chris Stapleton and icons of the genre like Dolly Parton.

I’ve also heard the always spunky Hannah Dasher will be making some exclusive content that’s sure to get the cowboys quaking in their boots…

Mike and the Moonpies, yet another incredible band featured in the game, had the following to say when talking about their involvement with the project.

“The game is fun, the graphics are slick, and there’s a great range of country songs to play. It’s going to be a cool thing for our fans to be able to play along to “You Look Good in Neon” and “Paycheck to Paycheck,” and we’re excited about that.”

Check out frontman Mike Harmeier playing along to “You Look Good In Neon” for a sneak peak of what the game looks and feels like.

Honestly, I don’t get excited for many games and was a bit hesitant when first hearing about this, but it’s clear these guys really went above and beyond to create an experience for true country music fans, bringing in pieces of all areas of the genre, from Nashville to Appalachia and beyond, built with the sole purpose of entertainment through quality country music.

So, how exactly were they able to pull this off?

It turns out our friend Grady Smith, the king of country music YouTube, was heavily involved in the entire creation of the game.

I couldn’t think of a better person to have throughout the design process, which you can hear all about in one of his latest videos below.

Country Star will be officially available to download on September 21st, but you can pre-register for the app now using this link

It’s hard to imagine a better way to spread the word about incredible country music than a game that’s bound to blow up, so I’d hop on that bandwagon now and get in first.

Trust us, you’re not going to want to stop playing…
