Florida Man does not skip a day of cardio…

While we often see people floating down flooded streets in tubing rafts, kayaks, or canoes during hurricane season…a bike is a new one.

Shortly after the worst Tampa had seen from Hurricane Idalia, a man was caught attempting to ride his bicycle through the streets. The storm surge led to over 4 feet of flooding in the area.

While the man’s bike is FULLY underwater, he is hellbound and determined to ride his bike through the swells of water.

“Despite officials’ warnings, a man tried to ride his bicycle around Tampa Bay this morning after the storm surge over 4ft.”

As he trudges through the water, he still complies with traffic regulations, entirely stopping at the stop sign.

Many responses left on the video note how little surprise there is here. Compared to other Florida Man headlines there are out there, this one is tame. But why, during hurricanes, do Florida citizens get the itch to get outside?

Florida…you’re something else.
