Blackberry Smoke Announces New Album ‘Be Right Here,’ Drop Lead Single “Dig A Hole”

As if it wasn’t already a great day of new music (Turnpike, Zach, Morgan… you get it), Blackberry Smoke announced a new album coming next year and dropped a new song.

Be Right Here is due out everywhere on February 16th, and they release the lead single “Dig A Hole” today, as well.

The follow up to their 2021 You Hear Georgia record, their distinctively southern rock sound and top tier songwriting always comes through with any music they put out, so I can’t wait to hear this one come 2024:

“We are so excited for our brothers and sisters, friends and family to be able to hear this album and see these shows. We hope you will all ‘Be Right Here’ with us.”

Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the project is a collection of ten tracks that celebrates the simple joys of life, the fleeting moments and the little bits of luck found along the way.

And of the new tune “Dig A Hole,” written by frontman Charlie Starr and keyboardist Brandon Still, Starr says it’s all about embracing the now and living life to the fullest while you still can, which will be a theme throughout Be Right Here:

“We each have a finite amount of time on this earth, so you probably want to make the most of it. Eventually for all of us, they are going to dig a hole, so make it count.”

Each song was recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A and Cobb’s Georgia Mae studio in Savannah.

Turn it up…
