We’re officially in the dog days of summer, where the heat is starting to get old, the days are incredibly long, and there aren’t any sports on TV to watch really…

So, that means that every college football fan is foaming at the mouth for the start of the 2023 college football season.

If you live in the southeast, you know how college football is treated like a borderline religion.

From the extravagant tailgates that span all day long every Saturday, to going absolutely bonkers in the stands while cheering on your favorite team, and referring to your favorite team as “we” like you were the one who just played four quarters. And of course, getting sad drunk if your team loses a tough game.

College football culture is absolutely nuts, and that’s why I love it.

With that being said, we have an official stadium announcement for the opening week of college football between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the North Carolina Tar Heels…

College GameDay is headed to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, the home of the Carolina Panthers.

The game is slated for Saturday, September 2nd.

This is setting up to be a great one. We’re talking about a neutral field that is about equal in distance from Columbia, South Carolina and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, so there won’t be a home field advantage in this one.

On top of that, we have two solid teams playing. South Carolina was one of the hottest teams in the country the last three games of the season last year, and the hype is through the roof for North Carolina, as they bring back Drake Maye, arguably the best quarterback in the country.

I can’t wait for this one:
