Of course, it’s no secret that the celebrity has garnered a ton of money throughout his career, and I’m talking about he’s got a net worth of a mind boggling $800 million…
Ain’t bad.
However, that number is only going to grow, because the 51-year-old is about to catch a bag for his upcoming movie Red One… a Christmas movie also starring Chris Evans
Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu.
He’s getting $50 million up front from Amazon for the upcoming Christmas movie, according to Puck via The Direct.
This marks the most money any actor has made (up front) in Hollywood history.
The initial record was a tie between Robert Downey Jr. and Will Smith after the earned $40 million up front for Captain American: Civil War and King Richard, and Johnson’s latest payout blew that record out of the water by a whopping $10 million.
I mean my God, 99.9% of America will never see $50 million in their lifetime, and Dwayne Johnson got every bit of it in one paycheck. And that’s just up front…
Of course, when you’re net worth is $800 million, $50 million probably just feels like pocket change to you.
Nevertheless, you won’t find a more humble and likeable actor in Hollywood than “The Rock,” and if there’s anyone deserving of it it’s the man himself.
Red One is set to release this holiday season in Amazon Prime Video.
