Sounds like somebody got a little too “Cocky” at a recent Kid Rock show…

Of course Kid Rock shows are always rowdy events, but one Tennessee police captain apparently took things a little too far and found himself in the back seat of a police cruiser for once after the rock star’s show in Nashville on Saturday.

According to WKRN, Ronald Hobson was standing up at the show and refused to sit down when asked by those around him. (Gotta have the best view for “Bawitdaba” I guess).

Hobson then allegedly got into an altercation with a man nearby, “choke-slamming” him down the stairs and over a railing. He then reportedly began kicking the man until he stopped moving.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

56-year old Hobson is a captain for the Dickson Police Department, just outside of Nashville. But unfortunately after the altercation, he wasn’t the one driving the police car to jail, but the one taking the ride in handcuffs.

Hobson was arrested for felony aggravated assault and booked into the Metro Nashville jail on Saturday night, before being released on bond Sunday morning.

The Dickson Police Department, where Hobson serves in the Criminal Investigations/Narcotics Division, released a statement saying that the captain has been placed on administrative leave pending resolution of the investigation.

I guess somebody thought they were a little too much of an “American Badass.”
