Puttin’ the “whiskey” in Whiskey Myers…
The Texas-based rockers have announced a new brand of bourbon called Uncle Chicken’s Sippin’ Whiskey.
They’ve partnered with Bespoken, a craft whiskey maker, to create this new product, which guitarist John Jeffers says is as unique and bold as the band and their music:
“Uncle Chicken’s stays true to that notion. We didn’t want to create just another mundane bourbon – Uncle Chicken’s embodies that renegade spirit.”
CEO of Bespoken Peter Iglesias echoed that sentiment, adding that the essence of Whiskey Myers is at the core of this project and encapsulated with every sip:
“Uncle Chicken’s Sippin’ Whiskey encapsulates the untamed essence of Whiskey Myers and their relentless pursuit of breaking boundaries.
This release expands the possibilities of what a whiskey can be, inviting enthusiasts on an exhilarating journey with every sip.”
And in terms of flavor, according to their website,
“Uncle Chicken’s Bourbon Sippin’ Whiskey unleashes aromas of smooth butterscotch and savory vanilla, with flavors of black pepper on the tongue. Caramel and roasted almond notes finish off every sip.”
And of course, they’re certainly not the first artists to have their own alcohol brand, but if I know anything about Whiskey Myers, it’s that they don’t half-ass anything, so I can’t wait to give this new whiskey a try.
Uncle Chicken’s (a great name by the way, which was inspired by a real-life friend of the band) is available online now at www.unclechickenswhiskey.com for $59.99:
The band also teamed up with Treaty Oak Distilling back in 2021 to release Red Handed Bourbon.
I mean, how damn good is it gonna hurt to sip a little bit of Uncle Chicken’s while crying your eyes out to “Broken Window Serenade…”
Whiskey Myers is currently out on the road touring all over the country, headlining festivals and also opening up for Eric Church and Willie Nelson later this summer and fall.
