Country music artist Hannah Dasher has apparently had a married celebrity in her DMs before… but she’s too kind of a soul to reveal exactly who it was.
The talented and bubbly country artist sat down on the Like A Farmer podcast and talked about her cooking show and best selling book, “Stand By Your Pan,” how it is being a full independent artist (after going through a snafu with SONY), and what it’s like being a woman in the country music industry.
Fans of hers know that she’s always a treat to hear from, wherever she pops up. It could be at a rowdy country concert of hers. It could be in a sit down interview where she happily spills some tea. Or it could be on TikTok, where her fanbase continues to grow thanks to her “Stand By Your Pan” cooking series.
Dasher is effortlessly entertaining, and she really turned some heads when she answered the question, “What’s the weirdest DM you’ve ever gotten?” while she was on the Like A Farmer podcast. The “Holding Her and Loving You” singer didn’t take too long to think about her response.
But she did make sure not to name any names, just because it could get the married celebrity that sent her a message online into some trouble:
“Well, I don’t know that I could share it because they’re famous and married. So let me think of another one. I could have gone on some pretty big tours, you know, if I wasn’t a Christian. Golly, the weirdest DM that I’ve gotten. I guess that would be it, right? I don’t know.”
Not only was it a famous married person… judging by the context clues she provided, it was someone within the music industry. And I think that based on her suggesting the artist (let’s safely assume it’s a male) is married, we can assume the content of that DM was something his wife certainly wouldn’t approve of.
Excuse me while I go get the bulletin board with headshots and red string ready so I can try to get to the bottom of which married artist out there would have sent Dasher a “weird DM.”
Later on, Hannah admitted that she gets a lot of strange messages from fans. She even said they’ve gotten the police involved in a couple of incidents where things got just a bit too creepy for her liking:
“Yeah there are (some weird ones out there). I mean, we’ve had to file a police report against one or two. Thank God Wilson, my trainer – Wilson runs security for Morgan Wallen – he’s always giving me good tips for the creepy people like that.”
Yeah, the internet can be a very freaky and horrific place.
But I’m still stuck on that “I could have gone on some pretty big tours” line that Dasher delivered. It would be reckless speculation to start guessing names, so I’ll take the high road like Hannah did and just leave it be. Maybe one day the country singer will slip in another hint during one of her “Stand By Your Pan” segments on TikTok?
