Things are going pretty well for Post Malone right now.

He recently released new album titled Austin this past summer, he cut out soda out of his diet and dropped a lot of weight, he’s enjoying his life as a dad after welcoming a daughter last May, and his self inspired Raising Cane’s restaurant opened up back in April.

Plus, he’ll be performing a medley of country classics alongside Morgan Wallen and Hardy at the CMA Awards this week, and was spotted in the studio alongside Morgan and Ernest.

Even with all those things going for him right now, people won’t stop asking him whether or not he’ll do a country music album.

Right before he dropped his album this past summer, Malone took to Twitter to say:

This whole deal has been one of the most challenging, rewarding, and exciting records I’ve worked on.

I feel it captures who I am as a man and as an artist in this moment. Thank y’all so much for your patience, and thank you for being there with me in my hardest times. I love y’all so much, and am ready to f***ing party with y’all. Cheers, and keep spreading love.”

As exciting as that news is, the more important piece of new information is yet another interviewer asking Post Malone if and when he’ll “go country.”

The popular artist has long been associated with different country music collaborations after growing up in Dallas, Texas. Malone has revealed he’s a huge Shania Twain fan, has shared the stage with Darius Rucker and Blake Shelton before, and has even released some of the most bada** country covers the industry has ever seen.

He clearly has the country chops needed to do it, which is why someone from the radio station 93.3 The Bull asked Malone “are you going to a do a country album one of these days” at the Raising Cane’s grand opening.

Post Malone excitingly responded:

“I think I’ll do it whenever the time is right in the studio and I’m just vibing, f***ing around. I think it’ll be a fun time. I just like creating stuff and making everything.”

Take a look at the clip of Post Malone below, who if I’m not mistaken, is holding a Cane’s cup with a cartoon of himself holding a Cane’s cup (Cupception?):

Let’s hope that he’s “just vibing and f***ing around” in the studio sometime soon…

In the meantime, here’s Post Malone’s impressive Sturgill Simpson cover featuring Dwight Yoakam’s band:
