Their gritty lyrics and unique sound capture fans’ hearts left and right. Shane Smith’s lead vocals are raw, raspy, and captivating to the ears, combined with the harmonies from other band members.
To say the least, Shane Smith & the Saints are giving independent country a huge spotlight.
Earlier this month, the group headlined the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
I tuned in for the show’s live stream, and it was pure magic. The night sky in the mountains, the crowd was in tune with every beat from the band, and the boys were on fire.
“Still can’t put the right words together…”
They said on Instagram after the show.
“Tuesday night was something none of us will ever forget. Thank you all for believing this into reality.
Thank you for sticking with us all these years. We are forever grateful.”
During the show, they took a moment to acknowledge to their fans that because of their support, they are able to play at a venue like Red Rocks.
“Thank you all so much for being here. I cannot explain to you how huge of a night this is for us.
We’ve worked so hard to get to this spot, truly, and I just want to say thank y’all so much.
We would not be here if it were not for all of you folks.”
You can hear the crowd roaring in the background of what the mics are picking up.
Because of their contained excitement of playing at this iconic venue, their sound was better than ever. They were rocking out on stage during the whole set, acting like they had graced that stage 50 times before, and they knew it like the back of their hand… a true sign these guys are the real deal.
I can only imagine how electric this show was in person.
