Tyler Halverson Makes Major Label Debut With New Single, “Her”

Tyler Halverson country music

Almost a year to the day since the release of his previous single, Tyler Halverson is back with another new song, and a record deal, too.

Released as his major label debut with Atlantic Records, Halverson’s newest single “Her” is a cleverly written tune about looking for love and staying optimistic as the prospect of ending up lonely looms.

The narrator, who seems to have had a tough go at it in a previous relationship, humorously recounts things gone wrong before addressing loneliness and reverting to optimism in an all too familiar situation.

“Tired’of buildin’ it up for it to fall down
Well maybe the next one stick around
Sound like a good way to wind up lonely

And alone at the end of it all
Last place I wanna’ be caught
With no one by your side
Life turn to a long hard ride
Hope they lookin’ for me, too
One day run into you
Love that fill my cup and quench my thirst
Good lord lead me to her…”

A native of South Dakota, and now a Belmont University alum residing in Nashville, Halverson took the crew back to his home state to record the music video for this one, and with the help of Whale Tale media, I think his crew made it well worth the while.

Check out Halverson’s latest single “Her” and the accompanying music video here.

Tyler Halverson, with his unique, self-proclaimed style of “Amerijuana Music,” has amassed an impressive amount of streams despite his small yet growing catalog of original music.

With catchy choruses and amusing lyrics, Halverson’s songs are often quirky, fun, and extremely well written. And as much as I love a sad country song, I think Halverson’s ability to do these songs and do them well makes him all the more intriguing of an up and comer.
