Looks like there may be a few more Silverados for sale…

GM announced a recall of certain models of their flagship pickup truck due to a potential brake fluid leak that could cause a fire while parked or while driving (So pretty much at anytime).

2019 to 2023 4500HDs, 5500HDs, and 6500HDs are included in the recall, so while a typical commuter may not have much to worry about, there’s a lot of danger for a slew of workers who rely on the large pick ups for their job or business.

A document posted on Saturday by the US Department of Transportation stated the following.

“General Motors. LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Chevrolet 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD Medium-Duty trucks. The brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause an electrical short-circuit.

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete.”

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries related to the safety concern.

If you’ve got one of these trucks, please get it looked at as soon as possible. Don’t want anyone getting burned up or setting their house or business on fire.
