What a cool way to make your Grand Ole Opry debut.

Emmy Russell, granddaughter of the late, great Loretta Lynn, will make her debut at the country institution this Thursday evening.

And not only that, but she’ll also be joined by Loretta’s sister (and her aunt) Crystal Gayle, who will both help celebrate what would’ve been Loretta’s 91st birthday on April 14th.

Emmy shared the news in a sweet post on Instagram, saying how excited and honored she is to take the Opry stage for the first time, adding that her grandma “believed in me from the start before anyone did”:

“Debut! Honored to be apart of Opry … Link to watch/ get tickets.. :) 7pm! So excited.. Gonna be special.. it’s all in honor of my grandmas birthday. Special group of humans playing..

Get tickets or if you can’t watch online. It’s pretty cool to start your career by thanking the person, my grandma and honoring her by this being my first time alone with a guitar since her passing…

I use to run from my family heritage and wanna make my own path. I feel a deep conviction to thank, accept, and celebrate her, cause she believed in me from the start before anyone did. Not ashamed anymore.

She was never ashamed of me… I’m a granddaughter, and I’m Emmy… it’s all apart of me! This is the start of a beautiful journey. Couldn’t be more excited.”

It’s certainly going to be a very special evening, so if you’ll be in Nashville this week, it’s definitely something you don’t want to miss.

Tickets are on-sale now, and the show is slated for this Thursday, April 13th:

Emmy recently teamed up with Lukas Nelson, son of the legendary Willie Nelson, for an incredible performance of Loretta and Willie’s duet “Lay Me Down” at the CMT special Coal Miner’s Daughter: The Life And Music Of Loretta Lynn last October:
