It’s truly hard to believe that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s marriage is officially over, even months after they announced they were filing for divorce.
From the outside, it appeared that they had the perfect marriage and family. However, things got real when it was announced that the two were in a major fight after Brady decided to come out of retirement, and play at least one more season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
One source told Page Six:
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
Many thought it was just a tough stretch for the two, but was apparently more than that, and it all became very real when it was announced that the two had hired divorce attorneys.
However, it appears that there had been trouble in paradise for some time between the two, even before Brady announced he was coming out of retirement.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele admitted that things had not been great in their marriage for a while, and the fact people were saying it was because he was coming out of retirement was “hurtful” and “the craziest thing I’ve ever heard.”
She said it was just time to move on, and the unretirement thing was just a small piece of it:
“People really made it about that. What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle… it’s not so black and white.”
Gisele admitted that the two had begun to grow apart from who they were when they met in their late 20s, and they had different visions for the future of their family:
“Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart. When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make.
That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”
“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever. If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer.
I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
And on top of that, she also denied the rumors that she was dating billionaire Jeffrey Soffer, who happens to be a friend of Brady.
She believes that it was a fake story just to make her look bad.
