Unfortunately, we still don’t have any word on the future of Yellowstone, after rumors began to spread that Kevin Costner was having scheduling issues for filming the second half of Season Five.
We now know that a delay in filming is only inevitable, and that summer premiere we were hoping for is looking more and more like November.
On top of that, if Costner can’t come to an agreement with Yellowstone, there’s a possibility that the show could end completely and Matthew McConaughey could slid into a leading role for a new spinoff series with a number of characters from the original cast.
Possibly the 6666’s spinoff we keep hearing about.
With that being said, two actors from the show are weighing in on the possibility of this being the end, and it’s no other than country music star Lainey Wilson, who plays Abby, and Piper Perabo, who plays Summer Higgins.
In an interview with ET Online, Wilson discussed how grateful she’s been to be apart of the show:
“It’s been crazy, you know, I feel like I learned something about myself that I didn’t even know. I feel like I just I love being creative, whatever that means, and diving in head first. I’ve never acted a day in my life! So it’s such a cool experience.”
She also admitted that she hasn’t heard anything about the future of the show, but she’s still hopeful:
“You know what, I don’t know much, but I have a feeling they’re going to end it the right way, and there’s gonna be more of it. And I’m hoping I’m gonna be back in it!”
Perabo also discussed the future of the show, and she admitted that there’s a lot of noise from the outside world, and there’s a good bit of it that isn’t true:
“I mean there’s always a lot of drama when it comes to Yellowstone, don’t believe everything you hear.
Taylor Sheridan knows to play it really close to the vest, and I know better than to speak outside the ranch, but I’m excited to see what happens next.”
So I guess time will tell.
