PGA Tour Star Max Homa Celebrated Winning $1.5 Million In A Tournament, By Playing In A Local Muni Tournament The Next Day

Max Homa

I’m fully convinced that Max Homa may be the most likeable professional golfer in the history of golf.

The man began to make waves a few years back after he went viral for absolutely flaming people’s golf swings on Twitter.

And on top of that, the guy is a massive hit in post round interviews, with his laid back personality.

And, not to mention, Homa has won more golf tournaments in the past 24 months than anybody else on the PGA Tour, wracking up five wins in that time frame, and just won the Farmers Insurance Open this past weekend.

Needless to say, the former All-American at Cal-Berkley is at the top of his game, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

With all this fame he’s received over the past couple of years, you would think that it would get to his head, and he’d be living high on the hawg on the PGA Tour, right?

Wrong.

Because immediately after his win on Sunday, he flew back home to Phoenix, Arizona, and competed in a local golf tournament with a bunch of scrubs.

Just imagine this. You’re playing in a local scramble tournament with your buddies, looking more forward to the beer drinking than you are the golf, and all of a sudden Max Homa pulls up, fresh off of winning $1.5 million the day before…

You just don’t see stuff like this happen.

But nevertheless, Homa is a different breed. Of course, this tournament wasn’t completely full of scrubs, as Griffin Wood who plays on the PGA Tour Canada series played as well, according to USA Today. But still, this is a rarity.

And on top of that, Homa also wracked up $400 in the skins game, just to add a little pocket change to the massive purse he won only the day before.

Never change, Max. Never change.
