A TikTok has surfaced of a young kid spearfishing with his father in Australia.
Everything appears to be going steady as the kid begins to climb back into the boat, as he’s holding a grouper he had just shot with his spear…
And then things nearly take a turn for the worse.
All of a sudden, you can see a shark leap from the water in an effort to take back the grouper, but appears to catch the kid in the armpit instead.

And perhaps the wildest part of the video?
THE KID AIN’T EVEN PHASED.
The shark goes back into the water, and the kid proceeds to casually make his way back into the boat as if his life didn’t just flash before his eyes.
And for further proof, the father posted a follow up video of him and his son shootin’ the shit, as he trolls his son for catching a “shit fish.”

I’ll go ahead and admit it, this kid is a lot more courageous than me.
I’m sure shark run-ins are a lot more normal in the waters of Australia, but knowing that a shark was only inches away from taking my life or sending me to the hospital would be enough for me to hang it up.
