Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dangerous’ Becomes First Album In History To Spend 100 Weeks In Top 10 On Billboard 200 Chart

Another record for Morgan Wallen.

It feels like a weekly thing to be saying that at this point, as just last week, he became the first artist to ever have three songs in all three top spots on the Hot Country Songs chart, with “You Proof,” “One Thing At a Time,” & “Wasted On You” claiming the top three spots on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart simultaneously.

And this week, according to chart data, his Dangerous double album became the first artist album in history to spend 100 weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart, which is pretty mind-boggling, and impressive, seeing as the record dropped in January of 2021.

It’s also the longest-running top 10 album in the chart’s history, which goes for any record in all of music… to say that’s unprecedented would be an understatement, especially for a country artist and a country album on an all-genre chart like that:

His most recent #1 single, “You Proof,” is officially the #1 song at country radio again this week, and it’s now tied with “Amazed” by Lonestar and “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett for most weeks at number one on Billboard Country Airplay chart:

And according to radio chart insider Chris Owen, it’s likely the first country song in the charts history to ever fall out and reclaim the top spot two separate times on one chart run:

Morgan’s current single, “Thought You Should Know,” is currently flying up the charts, too, cracking the top 10 this week and also becoming is 8th career top 10 at country radio.

Don’t be surprised to see this one hit #1 faster than even “You Proof” just did, which is currently his fastest-rising hit at radio:

Needless to say, with the Dangerous era officially over and Morgan teasing a lot of new music coming soon, in addition to gearing up for a massive 2023 stadium world tour, he’s probably going to only multiply this momentum next year.

It’s hard to imagine how he could top everything that’s happened since he released Dangerous, but if he does, he’s going to be breaking his own records.
