Morgan Wallen is putting in overtime in the studio right now.

It was just a little over a week ago that he dropped three brand new songs in the form of his One Thing At A Time – Sampler, including the already fan-favorite homage to his Tennessee Volunteers “Tennessee Fan,” as well as “One Thing At A Time” and “Days That End In Why.”

He noted that these three songs are just a taste of what’s to come on the new album he’s been working on, which he says has him more inspired than ever:

“The truth is – I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have.

It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling.”

Well the new songs just keep pouring out, because Morgan just dropped a demo for yet another unreleased song on Instagram.

“Whiskey Friends” finds Morgan at a bar after a fight with his significant other, looking for some sad country music as he tries to drink his way out of the hole that he’s dug himself into:

“Bartender pour me up again
I just took a hook on my heartbreak chin
We gon’ be in here all night
She ain’t the only thing I’m puttin’ on ice
I need a corner with the lights turned down
I can’t take the good time, cold beer crowd
It’s just me, Jack and Jim
Won’t you play a little Whitley
For me and my whiskey friends”

Morgan still hasn’t officially announced his next album yet, and his last album, Dangerous: The Double Album, is still sitting at the top of the Billboard country albums chart for the millionth week in a row.

But Morgan’s already released two singles from the upcoming project, with “You Proof” and “Thought You Should Know” both debuting at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

If he keeps dropping all this new music, we might be looking at yet another double album from Morgan Wallen in the upcoming year – and yet another record-breaking run at the top of the charts.

In case you missed it, here’s some of the other new music that he’s dropped recently.
