At least that’s something…

Yesterday, just about every TV series fan was shocked when Yellowstone got snubbed from every major category at the Emmys, as they announced the nominations.

It’s a bit puzzling, considering the show has been the most popular on the planet for the past two years, and many sites and critics were predicting Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton on the show, to be a frontrunner for “Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.”

However, Taylor Sheridan’s work didn’t go completely unnoticed by the committee, as the show’s prequel series, 1883, received three nominations for this year’s ceremony.

The show announced via Instagram that 1883 was up for Original Dramatic Score, as well as receiving two nominations for Outstanding Cinemaphotography.

It’s great to see that some work based around the storyline of Yellowstone has made it to the big stage, although it’s still pretty hard to comprehend how the original show was once again overlooked.

‘Yellowstone’ Ignored In 2022 Emmy Nominations

That’s it.

I am protesting the Emmys…

Yellowstone has seen an insane rise in popularity over the past two years, quickly making its rise as the most popular TV series in America.

Seriously, the show kept shattering records with each premiere and finale, and it appeared that Yellowstone was finally getting the respect from Hollywood it deserved, considering it won a SAG Award, and has been nominated for an HCA Award.

Rumors were also spreading like wildfires that the show would be up for an Emmy nomination as well, as many believed that Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton on the show, would not only be nominated for “Best Lead Actress” in the drama category, but win the whole thing.

However, nominations were released today, and while I patiently awaited the results of nominees, Yellowstone was nowhere to be found.

That’s right, Yellowstone has been snubbed again.

In every category…

The nominees for Lead Actress in a Drama Series were Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Laura Linney (Ozark), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show), and Zendaya (Euphoria).

Nominees for Lead Actor in a Drama Series were Jason Bateman (Ozark), Brian Cox (Succession), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Adam Scott (Severance), and Jeremy Strong (Succession).

The nominees for Best Drama Series were Better Call Saul, Euphoria, Ozark, Severance, Squid Game, Stranger Things, Succession, Yellowjackets.

Nominees for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series were Nicholas Braun (Succession), Billy Crudup (The Morning Show), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Park Hae-soo (Squid Game), Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), John Turturro (Severance), Christopher Walken (Severance), and Oh Yeong-su (Squid Game).

Lastly, the nominees for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series were Patty Arquette (Severance), Julia Garner (Ozark), Jung Ho-yeon (Squid Game), Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), J. Smith-Cameron (Succession), Sarah Snook (Succession), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria).

Not a single Yellowstone nomination in sight.

To quote the great Rip Wheeler:

“You gotta be f*cking kidding me.”
