Ol’ Yellowstone is fixin’ to some damage at the Emmys this year.
Last year was a groundbreaking year for the show, as they broke a number of records for most views for the series premiere, and finale.
The show received massive national attention, garnering a single Emmy nomination for outstanding production design for a narrative contemporary program, and a SAG Award and PGA Award for best drama ensemble.
However, the show has largely been ignored by the major awards shows… until now.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, no TV show has seen its Emmy prospects surge more from last season to this season than Yellowstone.
In fact, they’re expecting a Schitt’s Creek type surge for this year’s Emmy nominations, which also saw a massive surge in popularity after flying under the radar for awhile.
With that being said, it has been confirmed that Kevin Costner has been nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama.
On top of that, the big surprise is that Kelly Reilly, aka Beth Dutton on the show, will be submitted in the lead actress in a drama category.
She’ll be competing against other nominees like Zendaya (Euphoria), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show), Patricia Arquette (Severance), Elisabeth Moss (Shining Girls), Laura Linney (Ozark), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), and Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets).

The 2022 Emmy nominations will be voted on from June 16th, through June 27th, and the final list of nominees will be released on July 12.
The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is scheduled to air on Monday, September 12th on NBC.
