Miranda Lambert Releases “Actin’ Up”, The Third Single From Her Forthcoming Studio Album, ‘Palomino’

This one is FUN.

Miranda Lambert released the third song from her forthcoming eighth solo studio album, Palomino, that’s set to drop at the end of this month on April 29th.

Called “Actin’ Up”, she previously played it at C2C fest last month, but I actually love the studio version just as much as when she played it live.

Written by Miranda along with her album’s co-producers, Luke Dick and Jon Randall, it features some playful lyrics and the solid songwriting we’re used to from them:

“Even Tiger Woods
Couldn’t Swing It This Good
I’m Acting Up
My McQueen Mustang
Hundred Dollars In The Tank
Gassing Up
I’m Out In The Mojave
Call Me Ricky, Call Me Bobby
Call Me Hotter Than Wasabi
‘Cause I’m Acting Up…”

She previously released “If I Was A Cowboy” and “Strange,” but I think this is my favorite song from the new album that she’s put out so far:
