I mean, is anyone really that surprised?
Daniel Ralston, a private event bartender in LA, worked the Oscars Sunday night, and he tweeted out as much of the gossip as he possibly could without getting into too much trouble or naming too many names.
Of course, all most of us really know about the Academy Awards is that Will Smith slapped the shit out of Chris Rock on live television, but other than that, it seems like it was pretty uneventful.
Daniels best tweet of the night was when he spilled the tea about what happened after the Will Smith incident, in addition to letting us in on who the nicest celebrities there were.
He said that country music’s own, Reba McEntire, as well as actor Rami Malek, were the nicest people he waited on… he also said that everybody stopped drinking after the slap, which seems counterintuitive to me, but I’m gonna take his word for it:
“Bartended the Oscars. Everybody stopped drinking after the slap.
Nicest celebs of the night were Reba and Rami Malek.”
He also shared this funny interaction he overheard from the bar, which is probably the second best thing that happened at the Academy Awards that most people will never know about:
Also overheard an excellent interaction with a celebrity couple. They asked where they could smoke. It was suggested they go to the 5th Floor lounge. They responded with, “Is there somewhere closer, where the bartenders smoke?”
They were taken to the dumpsters.

And this little nugget of info, that led to another funny moment on-screen:
Hello to anyone who followed me for hot celebrity gossip. That is the extent of what I can tweet about my job as a private event bartender, unless you want drink recipes. I think I was making a Lemondrop in this pic. pic.twitter.com/MwrdcZOCd1

Yeah, Rami might’ve been slightly over-served, but he also probably had the best time out of everybody there…
Ooh so you hand a hand in getting Rami all sloshy? pic.twitter.com/SDZBGPGc0L

And if you missed it, make sure you check out Reba’s tribute performance dedicated to the people of Ukraine of “Somehow You Do”, from the film Four Good Days, featuring Travis Barker on the drums.
It was also a highlight of the night:
