Girl Goes Viral With “Hey There Delilah” To The Tune Of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”

If you didn’t get into the pop-punk scene in the early 2000s, you’re still probably familiar with “Hey There Delilah.”

In 2007 it was the biggest song in the country, topping the Billboard Hot 100 in July. It was also nominated for two Grammy Awards that year, including Song of the Year.

“Jolene,” I don’t have to even tell you about that one…

Released in 1973, it was one of her first big hit singles, and served as the title track for her 13th studio album. She famously wrote it on the same day in 1972 that she wrote her other massive hit, “I Will Always Love You”.

Of course, we all know by now that it was inspired by a real life girl at the local bank, and that Dolly told her husband, Carl Dean, in no uncertain terms that he’d better find somebody else to talk to when he went in there after she found out about her.

Anyways, this girl mashed the two up together and it’s really something special.

Titled “Hey There Jolene,” Ale Madsen sings “Hey There Delilah” to the tune of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”

And it just WORKS.

To date, the video has garnered over 2.5 million views.
