Dallas Bar Selling “F*ck Putin” Shots In Support Of Ukraine

No Russian vodka in this one.

As bars and liquor stores across the country have started removing Russian vodka from their shelves in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a bar in Dallas has introduced their own “sanctions” on the country.

In addition to pulling the Russian vodka, Alexandre’s has introduced a “Fuck Putin” shot that’s blue and yellow in honor of the Ukrainian flag.

The shot drew immediate attention – and was so popular that they had to rework the recipe. And they’re committing all of the proceeds from the shot to humanitarian organizations that are helping Ukraine.

Speaking on the viral drink, Alexandre’s says that while they know pulling Russian vodka from their shelves ultimately won’t end the war in Ukraine, they wanted to do what they could to show their support:

“During war or global events we often feel helpless as tragedy unfolds. While we understand pulling a bottle off the wall or serving shots won’t end this war, using our skill-sets and committing small acts of solidarity can create a more unified community response to such actions.

So, in solidarity with Ukrainians and the anti-war protestors of Russia, we wanted to do what Alexandre’s does best: create a cocktail and raise a glass in hopes of a quick and peaceful end to this conflict and to build a world where war is never an option.”

And if you want to make your own Fuck Putin shot, they even shared the recipe (just make sure you use Ukrainian vodka).

Equipment:

2 shaker tins

1st shaker:
Mango Jumex 0.5 oz
Peach schnapps 0.5 oz
Dry shake (it keeps it from getting diluted)

2nd shaker:
Kruto vodka 1.5 oz
Blue Curaçao 0.5 oz
Iced shake.

Pour your first shaker in a shot glass.
Slowly pour your second shaker over the back of a spoon in the shot glass.
