Tom Brady’s retirement announcement sent shockwaves through the NFL last week.
Of course, NFL insider Adam Schefter announced the news days before Tom did so himself, which set off a firestorm of people close to him, like his dad and Bucs coach Bruce Arians, saying that may not be the case.
Ultimately, Tom did make it official, announcing his retirement last Tuesday. Since then, he’s hinted that he could potentially come out of retirement in the coming years, leading us to believe that he hasn’t completely shut the door on returning to the NFL one day just yet.
But now, I don’t think I’d put my money on that, and for one reason only:
Gisele Bündchen.
Yes, Tom Brady’s stunning super model wife took to Instagram last week to share a lengthy, heartfelt message to her husband about how proud she was of all of his success and how much she is looking forward to their next chapter.
And honestly, it’s just a really cute post with some sweet photos of their family at different games throughout the years:
“What a ride @tombrady ! So many memories! When I met you over 15 years ago, I didn’t know the first thing about football. But cheering for you and seeing you do what you love most made me learn about this wonderful game to the point that I seriously believed I knew more than the referees!
We always had a special champions playlist for every drive on our way to the game. As a family, we always prayed for you, celebrated and supported you in every game, cheered every win and suffered with every loss.
I’m so proud of you, and of everything you have had to overcome physically and emotionally over the years. I am in awe of your dedication, and of everything you have achieved. You love what you do, and you leave behind a legacy that is a beautiful example for future generations.
You are the most dedicated, focused and mentally tough person I have ever met. You never once complained over the years about all the bruises and aches and pains. You just kept focusing on your goal to go out there and be the best leader there was to all your teammates.
I know how excited you are about the next chapter of your life. Watching you work so hard in your football career and seeing the dedication you are now putting into all your new endeavors is incredibly inspiring. There is nothing you can’t achieve. I have always been here for you, you know that, and I’m as excited as you are for what the future holds!

Tom replied with another sweet message in the comments:
“I couldn’t do it without your love and support! You make everyday of my life brighter and more fun and you challenge me to be my best in every aspect of my life. You are my biggest supporter and I love you more than anything in this world.”
So if you think he’s going to give up all of his newfound family time in retirement with his supermodel wife and young kids, think again…
While it will certainly be an adjustment from that grueling NFL schedule he’s had for the last 22 years, something tells me he’s gonna love it.
And he might just love eating normal people food more than anything:
