I think we can all agree that Shaquille O’Neal is an absolute beast.

I mean seriously, the dude changed the game of basketball forever, with his 7’1 300 plus pound frame.

The NBA had never truly seen a big man with his kind of size and athleticism before, and he was a forced to be reckoned with in the league for years.

Nowadays, he’s arguably one of the most likeable celebrities to come out of the NBA, known for his charismatic media presence, along with his rare humility for a guy who will go down as one of the best centers to ever play the game.

With that being said, he faces an obscure problem that probably none of us can say we will ever face…

And the problem?

The gorillas at the zoo.

Shaq recently joined an episode of The Big Podcast, and talked about his upcoming 50th birthday, all the way to how gorillas treat him at the zoo.

He weighed in:

“I’ve been to every zoo in the world, and every time I go to the gorilla section, they look at me like, ‘Hey man, where your fur at?’ For real. For real. That’s how they look at me.

They also look at me like, ‘What am I doing in here and you out there?’ And they always go crazy when they see me.

Every zoo in the world, they go crazy. They try to break out the damn thing and try to fight me.”

Of course, his co-hosts didn’t believe him, because c’mon, it sounds a little dramatic, right?

However, Shaq called up his buddy Ron Magill, a wildlife expert who works as the communications director at Zoo Miami.

Magill backed up his claims:

“He gets intimated, and he looks at Shaq and thinks that Shaq is going to take away his girls, and he gets tight-lipped and tries to stand up and make himself look as big as possible.”

“But at the end of the day, he backs off. He knows who’s boss.”

Imagine being so big that you scare the gorillas at the zoo?

I think it’s safe to say the man is built different.
