Busch Light Calls On Kenny G For New Super Bowl Commercial

What’s better than pounding some ice cold Busch Lights at the mountains?

Pounding Busch Lights at the mountains with Kenny G playing some SMOOTH saxophone riffs off in the distance.

Okay okay, that can’t actually happen…

However, Busch Light has released one of the smoothest commercials of all time, to go along with the smooth taste of their high quality domestic beer.

The commercial is dropping just in-time for the Super Bowl, as it contains the brand’s cherished original song, “Head for the Mountains.”

It’s based around two campers who are sharing a couple Busch Lights while enjoying the scenic mountain views, when out comes a number of other campers singing the famous song in the sky…

When BOOM, Kenny G pops up and kills a few sax notes.

Daniel Blake, Group VP for Anheuser-Busch, weighed in on the latest add:

“More than 40 years ago, ‘it’s cold and it’s smooth, and it’s waiting for you’ launched Busch Light’s jingle into the hearts and minds of beer fans.

And when the time came to revive that iconic jingle, there was only one person smooth enough for the job, American jazz saxophonist, and one of the best-selling artists of all time, Kenny G.

We can’t wait for Busch Light fans to see their favorite beer show up on one of the biggest days in sports.”

Kenny G also commented on the feature:

“Busch Light is about smoothness and refreshment, and if you’re familiar with my work, it should be pretty clear why this partnership works so beautifully!

For this project, we tapped into the Busch Light archives and came up with a really energetic reprise of ‘Head for the Mountains.’

I’m excited for the fans to hear my sax on it, and hope they can enjoy the spot with a cold Busch Light in hand on game day!”

Getcha some.
