Swifites Blow Up Jake Gyllenhaal’s Instagram Post From A Month Ago With Over 47,000 Comments

RIP Jake Gyllenhaal.

If you thought Taylor Swift’s new song with Chris Stapleton from Red (Taylor’s Version) pretty much destroyed him, think again.

She put out a pretty epic, 10 minute version of her fan-favorite song “All Too Well,” along with a short film, that pretty much read him to filth. Now of course, there’s always two sides to every breakup story, but I have to say, I’m living for all the drama.

Yes, this all went down 10-plus years ago, but being the nosey person that I am, I find it all very intriguing.

Like I said before, I haven’t been a hardcore Taylor Swift fan since probably Red first came out, but I’m not gonna sit here and argue that she isn’t one of the best pop artists out there. We all know she can write a damn good breakup tune, and I still jam to “Picture to Burn” way more than I should.

She also has some of the most dedicated fans out there, which brings me to the entire point of this article…

There’s over 47,000 comments on Jake’s most recent Instagram post from almost a month ago on October 21st, mainly from Swifties, which we’ll get to here in a second.

Most of his other photos have under 10,000 comments, with a few that had more than that. But, no other comment section his feed had anything close to 47k.

And the post, which has absolutely nothing to do with anything related to Taylor, is just a trailer of his upcoming movie Ambulance:

AMBULANCE. In Theaters February 18, 2022.”

But, that sure as hell did not stop the Swifties from absolutely bombarding him with comments about none other than Taylor’s red scarf. If you don’t know, her song “All Too Well” has a line that says:

“And I, left my scarf there at your sister’s house
And you’ve still got it in your drawer even now.”

And the Swifties simply have not been able to move past it for over 10 years at this point. So much so, that they literally blasted Jake for never returning it on this post (among plenty of other things). I mean, it’s highly possible now that he has given it back, or did so years ago, but we may never know for sure.

Either way, the comments are gold:

“bold of him to keep the comments on.”

“I can’t believe you didn’t get the part in the all too well short film, you would’ve been perfect in the role.”

“POV: you don’t even follow him but you just KNEW all the comments on his last post would be about Red (Taylor’s version).”

“Tom Holland can’t save you now.”

“AND I LEFT MY SCARF THERE AT YOUR SISTERS HOUSE.”

“Dude we ain’t leaving you for the next 5 months, not until speak now tv drops then we’re gonna turn on john mayer.”

“it’s a bad week to be Jake Gyllenhaal.”

“how are we holding up Jakey.”

“Did the love affair maim you?!??????”

“‘I’ll get older but your lovers stay my age’ Damn, Jake.”

“You could have at least showed up to the birthday party.”

“Is it true that you still got it in your drawer even now?”

“TURNING 21 IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN JAKE”

“Bro what did u do to Taylor this 10 minute version goes a lil too hard.”

“Jake must be in the basement crying for not returning the scarf.”

“Where’s the scarf Jake.”

“U got one week buddy… hope u sent that scarf back.”

“WAS SHE REALLY THAT YOUNG JAKE?!?”

“What kind of human being dates a young 20 year old girl, steals her scarf, and doesn’t show up to her 21st birthday?!?! Oh sorry – I bet you were too busy needing space and listening to your super cool Indy records.”

If you’re as invested as I am at this point, do yourself a favor and scroll through some of the comments on your own, because there’s plenty more where that came from.

And, you have to see all the drama aired out in the short film featuring Sadie Sink, Dylan O’Brien and Taylor herself (who also wrote and produced it):
