The tragic death of Gabby Petito has been consuming the news for the better part of the past month, ever since Gabby was reported missing in mid September.

Gabby, along with her fiancé Brian Laundrie were on a cross country road trip, however Brian returned home to Florida last month without her.

Videos surfaced from police encounters with the couple out west, who appeared to be having some domestic violence incidents. When she was finally reported missing, Brian was all of the sudden was nowhere to be found.

Once her body was tragically found in Grand Teton National Park, an all out manhunt for Brian ensued. And Brian’s parents? Not helpful at all…

Dog the Bounty Hunter is on the case, a number of other celebrities have thrown reward money into the pot, the case has received as much publicity as humanly possible, however today, we have official confirmation on the cause of death.

According to a Teton County Coroner, Gabby Petito was murdered by strangulation.

The initial autopsy ruled the death a homicide, and today, Dr. Brent Blue, the Teton County coroner, confirmed that initial report, adding that she was strangled three to four weeks before her body was found. He also added that she was not pregnant at the time.

Mr. Blue refused to comment on whether or not he thought Brian Laundrie was responsible for the murder or go into more detail, but announcement confirms our suspicions that Gabby was brutally murdered and this wasn’t an accident.

Laundrie, who has a warrant out for his arrest, is still on the run, however law enforcement has been actively searching near his home in Florida.

Dog The Bounty Hunter Is Leaving The Brian Laundrie Manhunt After Injuring His Ankle During The Search

We all got our hopes up when famous bounty hunter Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, walked up to the Laundrie home and knocked on their door before announcing he was joining the search.

Dog has mainly focused his search on Fort De Soto Park near Tampa, and he even said that he believes he’s found evidence that Laundrie is (or was) in the area.

But things with Dog’s search seem to have gone off the rails a little bit, with Dog reportedly pitching a reality show of his manhunt for Laundrie and also throwing out the theory that Laundrie may actually be a serial killer.

And now, it seems that Dog is stepping away from the manhunt – at least temporarily.

It was then reported that Dog had apparently injured his ankle during the search, and would be going to Colorado to meet with his doctor.

Dog’s team says that they’re still searching for Laundrie in Florida while Dog’s away getting medical treatment, and that he will continue to process leads in the case while he’s in Colorado.
