Alabama is hitting the road again this week to resume their 50th anniversary tour, which was halted due to COVID for the last year or so.

It will kick off at the Bridgestone Arena with two nights celebrating the 50 years since their inception as a band. It will be the first concerts at the arena since COVID restrictions were loosened, and Martina McBride will open for them in Nashville.

Frontman Randy Owen told The Tennessean they were thrilled to be able to continue to play their music for new generations of fans:

“We are very thankful that we can play our music for our loyal fans of the past 50 years and introduce our songs to a new 3rd and 4th generation of new fans.

We have rehearsed an all-new show that we are having fun performing, but you never know, we might even take requests from time to time.”

The opening shows will be their first in Music City in over two decades, so you can bet they’re about to bring the house down. The tour is set to run through February of 2022.
