As they say, all good things must come to an end.

After more than 250 days on the run, Buddy the Beefalo has been found by Plymouth Police.

We have to go back to August 3, 2020 where the story begins…

According to Mass Live, this beefalo, a cross between a bison and domestic cattle, pulled a fast one on his handlers. He was on his way to the slaughterhouse but decided he had more life left to live and escaped.

For months, they struggled to find him and there were actually a few failed attempts to lure Buddy into cages with food, but as a wise fugitive he was too smart to fall for their childish games.

Though, like most criminals, Buddy the Beefalo made one small mistake. He wandered onto a farm in town to hang with some local cows, and the farm owner scooped up. Plymouth Police posted on their Facebook page that the most-wanted beefalo in America has been captured.

This story does have a happy ending though.

Buddy will avoid the death penalty, and instead he will be heading to Critter Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary in Gainesville, Florida.

“Without everyone’s donations this would not be possible. Thank you for all your continued support and we wish Buddy safe travels and happy life.”

First of all, how the hell does a beefalo hide for 8 months? I can’t for the life of me figure that one out. But I guess a congrats to Buddy is in order. I hope the legend enjoys his retirement in Florida.
