Here at Whiskey Riff, we’ve always prided ourselves on having our finger on the pulse of the country music world. What’s new, what’s hot, who’s the next big thing, you know… what do the fans really want to see?
And right now, the fans are BEGGING for a Luke Combs/Morgan Wallen collaboration.
And those tweets are just a few from the past week. It goes on and on and on and on like that.
Of course, Luke and Morgan toured together last year during Luke’s Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour, along with Jameson Rodgers who Luke just released a song with. So it makes sense that fans would want to see a Luke/Morgan collab happen, but more than that, it’s in the realm of possibility.
So as official the voice of the fans, we here at Whiskey Riff are going to lead the charge, and on behalf of the fans of country music, submit the following formal request (in writing) to Luke and Morgan:
GIVE THE FANS WHAT THEY WANT.
Luke and Morgan have both always been good about interacting with their fans, listening to their fans, giving them a shitload of new music, and ultimately putting them first. It’s one of the reasons fans gravitate to their music.
So let’s keep that “People’s Champ” mentality going and get on the Zoom, the Skype, the Facetime… maybe you’ve already got some things in the works, but let’s hammer this thing out. Back in the day everybody was singing and playing together, recording each other’s songs… let’s bring that back to country music.
Make it happen fellas. The world will be a better place for it.
