Luke Combs Delivers Jaw-Dropping Cover Of “Greystone Chapel,” Famously Recorded By Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison

If you don’t have Apple Music, this would be a great time to get it.

For his Apple Music exclusive EP, Luke Combs teamed up with his co-writers (and good friends) Drew Parker and Ray Fulcher to re-cut a few of their hits with the help Nashville producer Chip Matthews.

“1, 2 Many” features background vocals from Drew Parker and then Ray joins Luke on a piano-heavy version of “Reasons.” Finally, the group releases a stunning cover of Glen Sherley’s “Greystone Chapel,” recorded by the great Johnny Cash for his At Folsom Prison album. Sherley, who was an inmate at the time, was actually sitting in the front row at Folsom Prison when Johnny performed (and recorded) it.

Luke doing Cash? Holy hell… inject this into my veins.
