Kings Of Leon Surprise RodeoHouston Crowd With George Strait Tribute, Cover “Amarillo By Morning”

When it comes to real rock bands, there isn’t too many that are left. The Kings of Leon however, are one of them.

They made their Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo debut in front of over 60,000 fans on Monday night, at NRG Stadium. In addition to fan-favorites like “Use Somebody,” the Nashville natives performed “Back Down South,” mashing it up with George Strait’s “Amarillo By Morning,” a much-appreciated nod to the King of Country. Naturally, the crowd went wild for the tribute to a Texas legend.

George himself will also perform at RodeoHouston on Sunday, March 17th.
