Miranda Lambert’s “Another Sunday in the South” Is Still My Favorite Song About 90’s Country

We all love 90’s country, there’s no denying that. It’s great to see the songs we grew up listening to getting so much current attention.

Lately, it seems that artists have gotten a little carried away with songs about 90’s country. With that being said, it’s time to remember when Miranda Lambert did this back in 2014.

Miranda wrote “Another Sunday in the South” with Jessi Alexander and Ashley Monroe. The song was inspired by Shenandoah’s number 1 song, “Sunday in the South,” but also includes nods to several other songs and artists of the era including “Fishin’ in the Dark” and “Wink.” Shenandoah’s lead singer, Marty Raybon, even sings on the track.

Just another reason why Miranda Lambert is the queen of country music.
