Zach Top Delivers Flawless Cover Of Alan Jackson’s “Don’t Rock The Jukebox” In Oregon

Zach Top

Never beating the allegations.

Simply put, there’s no one doing it quite as well as Zach Top these days. Though there are plenty of other stellar artists keeping the traditional scene alive, such as Jake Worthington, Charley Crockett and more, the Washington native has launched himself into the stratosphere as of late.

Of course, this was highlighted on a national scale the past year when he not only took home Best New Artist at the CMA Awards in November, which he accepted with a Coors Banquet in hand, but also when he scored his first-career Grammy back in February. In turn, Top became the first-ever winner of the brand-new Best Traditional Country Album category, winning it with his sophomore album, Ain’t In It For My Health.

In addition to being labeled as the savior of traditional country music, Top has proven himself as the quintessential human jukebox over the past few years when it comes to delivering phenomenal covers of different songs across multiple eras. From Chris Stapleton’s “Nobody to Blame” and Billy Currington’s “Good Directions” to Shenandoah’s “Two Dozen Roses” and Conway Twitty’s “Slow Hand,” the Washington Native has yet to meet a classic song that he cannot perform flawlessly. Of course, that’s not even mentioning his rock-solid renditions of Travis Tritt’s “Where the Corn Don’t Grow” and George Jones’ “Bartender’s Blues” with the equally red-hot Red Clay Strays recently.

A bit surprisingly, despite all the comparisons, folks online going as far as to say he’s Alan Jackson’s long-lost son and even opening for him last year, Top has not pulled out a cover from the “Chattahoochee” singer in concert recently. That all changed over the weekend, however.

On Saturday, the “I Never Lie” singer headlined the 10th annual Pendleton Whisky Music Fest in Pendleton, Oregon, alongside the likes of Shaboozey, Carly Pearce and Diamond Rio. In addition to performing past hits like “I Never Lie,” “South of Sanity,” “Sounds Like the Radio” and “Use Me,” Top would pull out none other than Jackson’s 1990 hit, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.”

Of course, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow” was one of Alan’s breakout hits. Appearing on his debut album, Here in the Real World, it was the fourth single released from the record and would eventually become his first Top 2 hit. Over the years, it’s remained one of his most popular early tracks, being played recently at his final concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville last month.

In case that wasn’t enough, Top would also pull out a flawless cover of George Strait and Keith Whitley’s “Nobody In His Right Mind Would Have Left Her” later in the set as well, once again proving why he’s one of the best in the game right now.

@leamae_bunker One of my favorite classic country songs & @Zach Top absolutely did it justice! 🩵🎶 • Cold Beer & Country Music Summer Tour ’26 – Boise, ID • #zachtop #countrymusic #country #keithwhitley #georgestrait ♬ original sound – Leamae Bunker
