Luke Combs Left A Big Tip For Kids Running Lemonade Stand In Green Bay, Wisconsin… They Thought He Was A Famous Golfer

Luke Combs would probably be flattered to be mistaken for a professional golfer.

The country music superstar is currently out on his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. Earlier this year, Combs released his “I’m back” project – the high-energy The Way I Am album. Safe to say, the fans have responded enthusiastically to that record, and have packed stadiums along his tour every chance they’ve gotten.

This past weekend, the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer performed in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the historic Lambeau Field (he actually changed his tour stage just so he could play there). Combs was the fifth artist ever to stop at Lambeau, and the first big concert in the Packers stadium since Paul McCartney played there in 2019. The country singer was also the first ever to play consecutive nights at Lambeau.

In no surprise at all, Luke Combs drew two straight sold out crowds to Lambeau Field on Friday and Saturday night. That obviously made for a memorable weekend, and to add to that, Combs got to tee it up at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The links style golf course has hosted three PGA Championships, and was the site of the 2021 Ryder Cup.

This past weekend, the 18-hole course hosted Luke Combs.

In his weekend recap, the country superstar shared photos from the weekend, including snapshots of his golf round, hanging out with Packers players and coaches, and towards the end of his slideshow, visiting a lemonade stand:

“Absolutely bonkers weekend in Green Bay!”

Let’s dive into that lemonade stand photo, shall we?

According to reports from local news stations in the Green Bay area, that stand was set up in a neighborhood very close to Whistling Straits. After Combs played at the championship course, he stopped by the stand that was being run by three kids named Will, Luke and Finley.

They told WBAY TV-2 that they initially didn’t recognize Combs. Based upon his attire, Will thought that the country singer was actually a professional golfer:

“We thought it was a famous golfer. He was wearing golf clothes.”

If I were Luke Combs, I’d take that as a compliment.

One of the other kids helping to run the lemonade stand, named Luke, told the news outlet that they do the lemonade stand every year in tandem with a garage sale that their parents run. They never thought that their yearly tradition would turn into a run in with a country super star.

And Combs was feeling generous when he stopped by the neighborhood lemonade stand. Finley said that the country star first asked for their recommendation, and then ended up leaving them a top of over $100:

“He asked, ‘What’s your guy’s favorite type of drink?’ We said, ‘BUBBL’R.’ Then he asked for four of them. (He gave us) $120 in tips, and we got $300 in all.”

What a day for those Wisconsin kids… even though they had no idea it was Luke Combs until after the fact. Something tells me the country star made a handful of new fans during his memorable weekend in Green Bay, Wisconsin weekend.
