Have you ever walked down Broadway in downtown Nashville and wondered what it would look like as a supercross track? That might seem like a strange thought… but that’s exactly how Lower Broadway will be set up tonight thanks to the Holeshot King Challenge, presented by Monster Energy.
Needless to say, Nashville’s most famous street is going to look a whole lot different tonight. Rest assured, all of the glowing, neon signs will still be there. They’ll just be shining a light on something that’s not regularly seen in downtown Music City. The road full of Honky Tonks will frame what could be called the most unique supercross event in the world.
The venue for tonight’s Holeshot King Challenge is picture perfect ahead of this Saturday’s 13th round of the SMX World Championship at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN. The Holeshot King Challenge is not taking place near Broadway, or adjacent to Broadway. It’s right on Broadway, and last night, the event’s organizers were busy transforming the area:
“See you soon Broadway. Holeshot King takes over Nashville!”
Yeah… supercross in the heart of Music City just makes sense.
When 7 PM (CST) rolls around, the likes of Jeremey McGrath, Ricky Carmicheal, Ryan Dungy, Jeff Emig, Jeff Stanton, Chad Reed, Ivan Tedesco, Damon Bradshaw and more will be racing right down Broadway. For those unfamiliar with the exciting event, it pits some of the best racers and biggest names in supercross against one another in a bracket-style, drag racing competition.
Who’s the fastest out of the gate? Which riders have the best reaction time? That’s all determined by the Holeshot King Challenge.
It can be best described as can’t-miss, supercross action, and what better place for it than Broadway in Nashville? There’s an energy to the row of Honky Tonks that permeates throughout the area all the time, and it’s going to be that much better when the bikes start revving up tonight. And speaking of energy… who better to act as the driving force behind the event than Monster Energy?
