Hittin’ the road.
Undoubtedly one of the most underrated artists in the genre today, Colby Acuff has been nothing short of a musical powerhouse since his debut in 2020. Releasing an album each and every year since then, the “If I Were the Devil” singer has somehow just gotten better with time.
After releasing the beautiful ode to his home state of Idaho in 2023 on Western White Pines, Acuff followed it up in 2024 with arguably his best work to date on American Son, a record chalked full of important tracks touching on everything from anxiety, depression and, as the title suggests, the fear of war in the current state of our country.
Last year, he released Enjoy the Ride, which not only captured the number five spot on the Whiskey Riff Top 40 Albums of the Year list. but also provided one of the most unique and rich album listening experiences, with all 11 songs comprised solely from interviewing 40 separate people off the street and having a conversation with them.
In typical fashion, the “If I Were the Devil” singer was far from satisfied after the release of Enjoy the Ride in October. Just two months later, he’d take to X to let fans know that he had already completed his next project, which should release at some point this year:
“Album is done. I hope this is the project I am known for.”
With Enjoy the Ride not only receiving critical acclaim nearly everywhere but also being chalk full of killer tracks that are begging to be played live, today, Acuff has announced his 2026 spring tour, Handmade Horsepower, which will kick off this March.
Totaling 19 shows, Handmade Horsepower will kick off in Spokane, Washington on March 13th, before wrapping up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 29th. Along the way, he’ll be hitting the likes of Chicago, Nashville, Seattle, Denver and more.
Just in case a city near you isn’t featured on the upcoming tour, Acuff would encourage fans to comment places he missed as he plans his upcoming summer and fall dates that will be announced later in the year. Talk about a man of the people.
Unlike most artists today, there will be no rounds of presale or anything of the sort. Tickets are already on sale starting NOW. As someone who has been covering his music for multiple years at this point and finally got the chance to see him last summer, I can say, without a doubt, a Colby Acuff show is well worth the price of admission. It’s no secret that his studio work speaks for itself; however, he and his band put on one hell of a show. If Acuff is in your area, do not hesitate to buy a ticket
