“I Like To Let My Fans Do The Talking” – Morgan Wallen Seemingly Responds To CMA Awards After ‘I’m The Problem’ Is Named Apple Music’s Most-Listened-To Album In 2025

I don’t know about talking… but they certainly did a heck of a lot of listening.

Today, Apple Music released their Replay ’25 experience, which is a personalized and insightful journey through their year in music. But in terms of the larger Apple Music streaming numbers, of course, there was one artist that was up there with the biggest musicians in the world, and that would be Morgan Wallen. He leads all artists with 12 songs in the Top 100 this year, with the title track to his massive 2025 album “I’m The Problem” coming in the highest at No. 18.

Other songs like “Love Somebody,” “Just In Case,” “What I Want,” “Smile,” “Last Night,” “Cowgirls” also made the list. He’s included with other artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Drake and Post Malone on the Top Songs of 2025: Global list, which is a pretty huge accomplishment for a country singer.

In 2023, Morgan’s mega hit “Last Night” was the most streamed song on Apple Music, and it’s not surprising at all to see him with so many songs on this list. I’m The Problem featured a dense 37 songs, which will always help inflate those streaming numbers, in addition to the fact that Morgan is one of the biggest artists in the world… that helps a lot, too.

And on top of all of that, Morgan’s album was the most-listened-to project on Apple Music this year, which is beyond impressive considering that includes every artist in the world. I can’t even imagine what the actual numbers are in terms of minutes listened and all-time streams for I’m The Problem across all streaming platforms:

This announcement comes on the heels of Morgan losing the Entertainer of the Year award at the CMA Awards around two weeks ago, where he was expectedly absent and did not attend. He won Entertainer of the Year last year and didn’t show up, and he never even really addressed the award or even acknowledged it, other than posting a picture of the trophy in a slideshow on Instagram.

He recently drove his point him during a surprise appearance with Ella Langley at the Ryman Auditorium when he took another shot at the CMA Awards, which take place just steps from the Ryman at Bridgestone Arena:

“It takes a lot more than an awards show to get me out to Broadway these days, I’ll tell you that.”

So yeah, I don’t think anyone really expected him to be there in person, but his fans were still upset that he didn’t win one award, despite being nominated for the aforementioned Entertainer of the Year award, as well as Album of the Year for I’m the Problem and Male Vocalist of the Year. Despite consistently topping both the country and all-genre charts, selling out stadiums all over the world and having unprecedented success with each album release worldwide and still not winning the big awards, I think it’s fair for him to be a little shady, and he certainly has something to say today.

Morgan shared a story on Instagram a few minutes ago, seemingly taking aim at all the associations and snubs, and probably haters in general, sharing the post from Apple Music about his album being the most-listened-to project, saying:

“I like to let my fans do the talking.”

And I think that says it all…

When you’re as successful as he is, you obviously don’t need any of those awards, and he continues his unprecedented run, as is evidenced by the fact that he has the most songs on the Top 100 of the globally most-streamed songs list on Apple Music list, and it seems like he only gets bigger with each passing year.

But I imagine it makes an accomplishment like this even sweeter considering all of the aforementioned context, and he’s earned the right to do it, that’s for sure:

With new music likely on the way in 2026, if he does put out another album next year, you’ll likely see Morgan back at the top once again… and there’s no sweeter revenge than that kind of success.
