Dr. Oz Rushes Into Action After His Young Granddaughter Faints In The Oval Office

Always good to have a doctor close by.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the physician and former Professor of Surgery turned television star, was sworn in today after being appointed as the administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. A ceremony was held with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, but it was abruptly cut short – due to a medical emergency.

After Dr. Oz was sworn in, President Trump was speaking to the press as the doctor stood behind him. But suddenly Oz’s daughter can be heard calling to her father for assistance after the doctor’s granddaughter, Philomena Bijou, had suddenly passed out:

“Philo fainted, Philo fainted, dad, go.”

Oz quickly rushed over as White House aides ordered the press to leave the room and turn their cameras off. And President Trump could be seen walking over towards the emergency and expressing his hope that the young girl was alright.

Luckily it seems like it was just a quick spell, because before the cameras were turned off Dr. Oz’s daughter could be seen rushing the young girl out of the room, and afterwards the White House released a brief statement confirming that she was fine:

“A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz’s swearing in ceremony in the Oval Office. We are happy to say she is OK.”

Sounds like she probably just got too hot and overwhelmed during the ceremony, but it’s good to hear that everything’s alright with the young girl. As somebody who’s passed out (or almost passed out) before after getting too hot in crowds, I get it. Not a pleasant feeling when it starts to happen.

Luckily there was a doctor close by when it happened…and it just so happened to be her grandpa.

Senator Crops Out Margaritas From Photo Of Meeting With Illegal Immigrant

During the ceremony, Trump also addressed the issue of the illegal immigrant who was living in Maryland that was recently deported back to El Salvador.

There’s been a lot of outrage from Democrats over the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who was determined by a court in 2019 to be a member of the MS-13 gang. But he was also granted “withholding of removal” status by an immigration judge, which would have prevented his immediate deportation, due to concerns for his safety should he be deported back to his home country.

Abrego Garcia was nonetheless deported back to El Salvador on March 25 due to what the Trump administration referred to in a court document as an “administrative error,” and has been imprisoned in El Salvador’s notorious maximum security prison, CECOT, ever since.

The parties have gone back and forth in court, with the Supreme Court ordering that the Trump administration must “facilitate” his return, while also finding that courts must respect the “deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affair.” The result has been both sides claiming victory, with the Trump administration refusing to return Abrego Garcia while arguing that the Supreme Court order would only require them to pick him up should he be released from prison and returned by El Salvador. Democrats, meanwhile, argue that the Trump administration is ignoring the Supreme Court.

During a meeting in the Oval Office earlier this week, both Trump and El Salvador president Nayib Bukele confirmed that they had no intention of releasing Abrego Garcia or returning him to the United States, and Democrats have seized on his deportation as their new favorite rallying cry.

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) call Abrego Garcia a “Maryland man,” despite the fact that he’s actually a citizen of El Salvador, and try to paint him as a hardworking father with no criminal record. But earlier this week, it was revealed that in 2021 his wife had requested a domestic violence protective order against the “Maryland man,” and the Tennessee Star reported earlier this week that Abrego Garcia had been detained in Tennessee back in 2022 on suspicion of human trafficking, but had been released at the request of the FBI.

Nonetheless, this is the new Democrat hero, and earlier this week Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen staged a PR stunt by traveling to El Salvador to demand Abrego Garcia’s release and return to the United States.

He was denied entry to CECOT, and held a sad looking press conference that was basically just him standing in an empty room whining about not being allowed into the prison. But last night, President Bukele announced that Van Hollen had finally been allowed to meet with Abrego Garcia, sharing photos of the two enjoying margaritas in the “tropical paradise.”

A short time later, Bukele confirmed that Abrego Garcia would not be returning to the United States after the meeting:

And Van Hollen also confirmed the meeting, saying that he spoke with Abrego Garcia’s wife “to pass along his message of love.”

But users quickly noticed that Van Hollen only shared one photo of their meeting – which didn’t include the margaritas:

Now, there’s also some argument over whether they were actually drinking “margaritas,” because of course there is. But regardless, it’s interesting that Van Hollen chose not to share the photo with whatever the salt-rimmed cocktail was and only include them sipping on waters as he looked lovingly into the illegal immigrant’s eyes.

Gotta make sure you control the narrative I guess…
