Some people…
If you’re going to enforce a rule just make sure you actually know what you are talking about first please. There’s nothing worse than a person who thinks they are in the right for no reason (while being fully in the wrong) AND being a complete tool about it.
When it comes to fishing, you seem to run into these people ore than other places. Fishermen are notorious for knowing the rules in most cases. No one wants to get in trouble, and they want to do right by the fish and catch them legally.
But people get protective over land. Water rights are different in all areas and range from no water having private ownership to complete ownership. And I get it, people are protective over their property or business that is on that waterfront.
But if fisherman are following the rules, please just leave them alone unless they are truly causing a problem.
This fisherman was casting near a dock in public water when he was met by a rude and unhappy employee on a golf cart. And to be fair, the guy says he is just doing his job, but he could’ve handled way better.
“I don’t wanna say it again”
This guy had no time for it though.
“You can say it all you want to buddy, say it all you want.
What am I doing if there’s no fishing here? Now, that’s right, I’m fishing and I’m going to keep fishing too.”
“Call the cops man. ‘There’s a guy down here fishing public water, hurry!’“
That fisherman is confident and I know he’s in the right by that confidence. I love how he is so confident that he even starts cracking jokes at the man.
“You missed it Kyle, I just cracked one over there. You missed it.”
At least he could prove him wrong and have a good laugh with the cop at the end of the day. The way the cop walked up already laughing, you just knew it was gonna be good.
