Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were officially divorced back in October of last year. Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth announced their divorce just over a week ago.
Now, the internet is swirling with rumors that the two newly-single stars could potentially be dating. The news is hard to believe, but another story that came out early in the week showed that Tom Brady was back on the dating scene, so you never know…
The rumors are stemming from a report from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who was tipped by an anonymous email that didn’t name exact names, but might as well have.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put two and two together with this message, with the subject line of “Epic and Unexpected Celeb Couple:”
“A-list actress who JUST announced her divorce is newly dating A-list NFL athlete is also recently divorced”
If this “anonymous tip” has any legs, the fact that both Brady and Witherspoon would be moving on so quickly is what makes it so hard to believe. Witherspoon’s divorce from Roth was allegedly a long time coming, but the origin of the split between Brady and Bündchen is still somewhat of a surprise.
Gisele Bündchen recently sat down with Vanity Fair to speak about the divorce and clear up the air on certain rumors and aspects of the breakup. Tom Brady, the former NFL QB (for now, he could always un-retire again), didn’t respond with a sit down interview, but he has been posting a lot of pictures on his social media accounts that scream “recently divorced.”
Could the 7-time Super Bowl winner and The Morning Show star actually be dating? Well, the 47 year old actress and the 45 year old former quarterback would at least have some recent life events in common to talk about.
You never know with celebrity internet rumors like these, but with everything that has happened in the world in the past decade, Brady and Witherspoon dating would comparatively be filed under “small surprises.”
What would their celebrity couple name be? Bratherspoon? Teese? Rom? I don’t know if any of those are any good, but I do know that the internet is at least excited about the potential couple:
