What a trainwreck.
It was on, then it was off, then it was back on and soon as founder Michael Lang can raise find a new investor and now, it looks like Lang has until Friday to raise a cool $30 million. No problem, right?
According to Billboard, Lang needs another $30 million to make the festival happen and that’s in addition to the other $30 mill that Japanese firm Dentsu had already spent on headliners. Dentsu has since withdrawn from the festival, leaving Lang with a few days to scrape up the remaining cash. Live Nation and AEG Worldwide have already passed.
Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, & Brandi Carlile were all booked to perform, along with Jay-Z, Dead & Co., Black Keys, Chance the Rapper, The Killer and more.
