Someone Is Trying To Sell A Barstool, Allegedly Used By Ella Langley, For A Whopping $1,000

Apparently a must-need for Ella Fellas…

It’s hard to argue that there’s a bigger artist, not just in the genre but music as a whole, than Ella Langley in 2026. In case you haven’t been keeping up with her and “Choosin’ Texas’” success, it just spent its 26th week at #1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

Since its release on October 17th, it is now the longest-running #1 hit in the history of the Hot 100, the only country song by a woman to triple up and go #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot Country and Country Airplay charts simultaneously. In case that wasn’t enough, thanks to the success of her sophomore album, Dandelion, which debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and sold 169,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week, Langley became just the second woman in history to hold the #1 album and song in the U.S. simultaneously with a country song/album.

Outside of “Choosin’ Texas” and its historic run on the Hot 100, she’s captured other chart records, such as becoming the first woman this century to score 4+ #1 hits from a single album, the fourth artist in history to score 4+ #1 hits in a calendar year, surpassing Post Malone as the biggest #1 hit in U.S. Spotify history and more.

Simply put, she has been everywhere. Whether it’s selling out arenas across the country on her own Dandelion Tour, which just wrapped up over the weekend, and opening up for Morgan Wallen on his potentially record-breaking Still The Problem Tour or scoring collabs with major brands such as American Eagle, Shiner Bock beer, Noyz perfume and more.

Though we’ve seen some major movements from the likes of other country stars such as Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, Luke Combs and other stars over the past decade, it’s truly hard to accurately capture just how much of a cultural phenomenon Langley has become.

Lately, it seems like everyone wants to own some piece of Langley merch. Beyond the concerts, merch, perfume and pretty much everything else related to her selling out seemingly instantly, apparently now re-sellers are posting… barstools she used to use at the start of her career in Alabama.

Back on October 20th, an eBay user, jbeckerfan, posted an auction apparently selling a used barstool that Langley, along with other country stars such as Luke Combs, Ashley Cooke, Riley Green and many more, used to use at Zydeco, a historic music venue in Birmingham, Alabama, that closed back in 2024. And it can be yours for the low cost of only $995.

Additionally, they claim that other acts such as Chris Stapleton, Allison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Zac Brown Band, Dierks Bentley, Jelly Roll and more have used during performances at the venue.

Ella Langley eBay barstool listing

According to the item description, the seller is a former employee of Zydeco, working there up until the time it permanently closed on November 8, 2024. Here, he explains that he took the stool when the venue closed down and also encouraged potential buyers to research the history of Zydeco to prove the listing’s validity.

“I was an employee of the club and this is THE stool that Ella and countless other stars sat on for performances.  The stool was given to us by Jim Beam and as you can see, is much more comfortable than your average bar stool, which is why Ella loved it, and used it for countless performances.  When the club closed, I took the infamous “stage stool” with me and it has been in my possession ever since. I add 4 plastic leg protectors for the safety of your floor. Can be removed.

Please feel free to research Zydeco’s storied history as a country music mecca, and the club that helped launch Ella Langley.  There is only one and you will not see another one on Ebay, anywhere, ever.”

In adddition to the barstool (and furthering the validity of the listing, the eBay user is also including three pieces of unused merchandise from the venue, including a shirt, a hat and a “STAFF ONLY” hoodie.

While listings like these on auction sites like eBay typically sound fishy, there’s more than enough evidence supporting the fact that this is, in fact, an authentic barstool used by Langley and other artists throughout the years at Zydeco. Of course, this is due to the plethora of photos the user included in the listing and the staff only hoodie included in the bundle.

Ella Langley barstool listing 2

I’ll be the first to admit that the listing itself is a BIT strange conceptually, but at least it doesn’t look like a scam…

If you want to get your hands on a “piece of Ella Langley history,” now you can for the low price of… $995.
